Obituary
Mrs. Nancy Burton, age 82 wife of Leroy of Mt. Vernon, Ky. departed this life on Saturday, May 6th, 2023, at the Rockcastle Regional Hospital.
She was born on March 9, 1941, in Mt. Vernon, Ky., a daughter of the late James and Rose Farmer Henson. She was of the Christian faith, and found great joy in canning, gardening, cross word puzzles and spending time with Kaylee Cromer niece and great niece. She had been a 30-year employee of American Greeting Co.
On April 5, 1968, she was united in marriage to Leroy Burton, and they enjoyed 54 years together.
Those left to celebrate her life include her husband, Leroy Burton of Mt. Vernon, Ky. As well as a host of niece/nephews, friends and neighbors.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Walter Henson, sisters, May, Cora, Maggie, Mary, Carol Lee, Jean and Johnetta.
The visitation for Mrs. Nancy Burton will be Monday, May 8, 2023, from 6-9PM at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals.
