Ned Senet Purcell

Mr. Ned Senet Purcell, age 72 of Brodhead, departed this life on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at the UK Chandler Hospital in Lexington, Ky.

He was born on June 30, 1951 a son of the late Sam Senet Purcell, Jr. and Lucille Worth Albright Purcell. He was a farmer and enjoyed spending time with his friends and family.  Ned was a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University.

Those left to celebrate his life are: his brother: Rodney Dean Purcell and his wife, Betty of Brodhead, Ky.; his nephews: Alan Purcell and wife Kristen of Virginia; and Aaron D. Purcell and wife Laura of Virginia; his grand nephews and nieces: Will, Sam, Anne, and Caroline Purcell.  As well as a host of friends and neighbors.

Visitation for Ned Purcell will be Saturday, September 16, 2023 from 11AM-1PM at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals.  Funeral services will follow at 1PM at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals with Bro. Luther Allen and Bro. Shannon Franklin officiating. Burial will follow in Freedom Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Phil Thompson, Steven Jones, Tom Deborde, Jerry Gentry, Russell Mullins and Jeffery Albright.
