Nora Laverne (Carter) Henson

Nora Lavern Henson, age 79, of Livingston, departed this life on Sunday, December 10, 2023, at St Joseph Hospital in London, KY.

She was born on April 7, 1944, in Livingston, KY, the daughter of William and Mae Griffith Carter. She was first and foremost a Christian, a long-time member of Pleasant Run Baptist Church, and a shining example of a pastor's wife. She loved to sing, and found great comfort in praying without ceasing. The highlight of her week was making Sunday dinner for her whole family after church, a tradition she carried over from her mother. She enjoyed caring for her animals, being outdoors in her garden, taking walks through the woods, and fishing, where she found inspiration for drawing and painting.

Those left to celebrate her life are her children: Ruth Collins (Steven) of Lewisburg, TN, Ann Drifmeyer (Tim) of London, KY, Roger Henson (Pam) of London, KY; Grandchildren: Aaron, Amanda, Emily, Sam, Ryan, Gracie, Madison; Great grandchildren: Noelle, Reagan, Oliver, Everly, Amelia, and Adalynn; and one sister; Brenda Parker (Don) of Louisville, KY.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bro. Ralph Wayne Henson.

Services will be Tuesday, December 12th, 2023 at Marvin Owens Funeral Home in Brodhead, KY. Visitation will begin at 2:00 PM, and service will follow at 3:00 with Bro. Chris Reynolds officiating.
