Norma Jean (Hayes) Crank

Norma Jean Crank, age 88 of Brodhead passed away Wednesday,  May 3, 2023, at Rockcastle Health and Rehabilitation  in Brodhead Kentucky.

Norma was born on November 11, 1934, in Brodhead, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Luther and Sallie Hayes. She was united in marriage to Ulysses Grant Crank on March 3, 1952, and from that union came four children, Wanda Jean, Michael, Verla May, and Ruth Ann. Norma enjoyed cooking, and yardwork. She was an avid fan of the Kentucky Wildcats and Cincinnati Bengals. She loved going to the Adult Daycare and being with her friends there. She was a loving and caring mother who gave her all to her children and loved the time she spent with each of them.

Norma is survived by two daughters, Wanda Jean Embree of Dallas, TX and Ruth Ann DeBoard (David) of Brodhead; and a son Michael Crank (Jeannie) of Sharonville, OH. Eleven Grandchildren: Kenneth Copelin, Abigail Waters, Daniel Crank, Logan Crank, Jeremy Crank, Tyler Crank, Holly Crank, Ryan Crank, Nikki DeBoard, Shane DeBoard and Cody Lee DeBoard.

Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Ulysses Crank and her longtime faithful companion Gervis Scoggin; her daughter Verla May Crank, and two brothers, James C. and Luther Hayes Jr.
