Obituary
Mr. Novice Wayne Gentry age 82 of Brodhead, KY passed away Friday, March 3, 2023, at his residence.
Novice was born March 16, 1940, in Ottawa, KY to the late Estill and Mary Watson Gentry. He was a member of the Bethel Church of Christ, and enjoyed fishing, farming, hunting, and grandkids. Novice married Bonnie McKinney on December 22, 1962, and from that union came one son: Nickalos.
Those left to celebrate his life are his wife of 60 years: Bonnie Gentry; one son: Nickalos Gentry (Tanisha); grandchildren: Katelyn Allen (Luke), Lindsey Gribbins ( Joseph), and Joseph Berry; great-grandchildren: Celia, Drake, Sadie, Layla, and Olivia; and one sister: Donna Cable of Mt. Vernon, KY; as well as nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother: Carlos Gentry.
Services for Novice Gentry will be held Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals with visitation beginning at 11:00am until time for the funeral service at 1:00pm. Burial will follow in the Providence Church of Christ Cemetery.
