Omer “O.J.” Wilson Obituary
Mr. Omer “O.J.” Julian Wilson, age 74, of Mt. Vernon, Ky, passed from this life on Wednesday, March18th, 2026. O.J. was born on April 3rd, 1951, He was the son of the late Kenneth Brinegar and Marjorie Helen Crawford Bowling. On June 21st, 1975, Julian married Jacqueline Marie Donnelly.
He was an Electrical Inspector by trade, and he was commander of Pulaski Veterans association; he was a member of the American Legion (Rockcastle/Mt. Vernon Post), AmVets (Somerset Post), Rockcastle Honor Guard, and was a member of the Roscoe Rockland Fire Department. He was an avid fisherman, he enjoyed Billiards, driving Race Cars, the Denver Broncos, and his cat “Bounce”.
Julian is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Marie Wilson of Mt. Vernon, his grandchildren; Aby and Emily Bowling, his brothers; Ronnie (Sheila) White of London, Gerald Thomas (Verna) Bowling of Pensacola, FL, his sisters; Patricia Blevins of Alabama, Mary Jo (Alan) Henthorne of Lexington, as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors.
Besides his parents Julian was preceded in death by his brothers; Kenneth Brinegar, Bo Brinegar, his sister, Letinia Bowling.
Julian chose Cremation for his final disposition, Military Funeral will be held on Friday, June 12th, 2026, at Camp Nelson National Cemetery at 2:30 pm. A Celebration of Life service will be held at the VFW in Mt Vernon, Ky at 5pm on Friday, June 12th.
