Patricia Ann (Sparks) Carpenter

Patricia Ann Carpenter, age 74,of Orlando, Ky.  departed this life Tuesday September 19th, 2023  at UK Chandler Medical Center in Lexington, Ky.

She was born on Oct. 21, 1948, in Hamilton, Ohio, a daughter of the late Joe and Stella Bowman Sparks.  She was a member of Maple Grove Baptist Church and found great joy in crafts, painting and sketching, and flowers.  On Jan. 8, 1966, she was united in marriage to James Carpenter, and they enjoyed 49 years together prior to his passing on Sept. 23, 2015.

Those left to celebrate her life are her children: Donald Ray Carpenter (Amy) of Crab Orchard, Ky.; Darrell Edward Carpenter (Jessica) of Orlando, Ky.  Her grandchildren: Ashley Ann Christian; Matthew Corey Jones, Jessi Nichole Hurd, Jaden Ray Carpenter, Jordan Suzanne Carpenter  and Hannah Nicole Herren. Her great grandchildren: Dillon Michael Christian, Jeffery Christian, Taylin Nichole Hembree, Brycen Case Thomas, Matthew Stormy Jones, Maverick Jones, Jaxon Thomas, Aryon Hurd, Myles Xander Robinson. Her sisters: Judy Guinn, Barb Lipinski, and Bonnie Watkins. Her brother: Dwayne Sparks.  As well as a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors.

Besides her parents,and husband, James , she was preceded in death by her daughter, Deborah Ann Carpenter.
