Patricia Ann Kirby

Mrs. Patricia Ann Kirby, “Patty”, 67, of Brodhead, joined family and friends in heaven on May 6, 2026. She left this earth surrounded by her family. Patty loved her family and friends, was a wife, mother, a loving Nana, and homemaker; she was also a babysitter to children who were very special to her. 
Patty enjoyed cooking big meals and gathering with her family and was a huge fan of the Somerset Briar Jumper sports where her grandkids played. She loved to watch game shows, especially The Chase, The Walking Dead, as well as watching Lifetime movies, “Facebooking”, taking pictures, and most important to her, being surrounded by all the people she loved.
Patty was born on August 11, 1958, the daughter of the late E.J. and Roberta Ann Adams Taylor. She married Ricky Ray Kirby on August 28, 1976, of which union came a daughter Erica Leigh Murdock (Dave), and two sons Abraham Taylor Kirby (Lisa) and Patrick Wayne Kirby (Jessica). Patty also had 4 grandchildren and one on the way. 
Those left to celebrate and remember Patty include her husband Ricky Kirby, sister Sherry Asher, her brother Harold Taylor, her daughter Erica Murdock, her sons Abraham and Patrick Kirby, her son in-law Dave Murdock, her daughter in-laws Lisa Kirby and Jessica Cummins, her grandchildren, Kayleigh and Jakob Bartley, Everly and Isabella Kirby; as well as her nieces and nephews, cousins, friends, and numerous other special loved ones. 
Patty was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Larry Taylor, and her infant grand-daughter Adeline Sophia Kirby. 
Her pallbearers are Abraham Kirby, Patrick Kirby, Benjamin Taylor, Seth Taylor, Jakob Bartley, Damien McDaniel, Jacob Riddle, and Jeremy Bartley. Her honorary pallbearers are Harold Taylor, David Wilson, Randy Cox, Johnny Miller, Sam Miller, Travis Burton, and Conner Phelps. 
For those who want to join in services at Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals in Brodhead, KY on May 11th, 2026, visitation will be from 11am-1pm and the funeral starts at 1pm with graveside service to follow at Fairview Church of Christ.
