Patricia Sue (Mays) Mckinney

OBITUARY NOTICE:

Patricia Sue Mckinney age 78 of Brodhead, KY passed away Saturday, October 26th, 2024, at her son’s home in Corbin, KY. She was born on October 23, 1946, in Brodhead, KY. She was the daughter of Frank and Fannie (Capps) Mays. She was united in marriage to Bobby Ray Mckinney on April 17th, 1965. From that union came one child: Bobby Chris Mckinney.

She was a member of Freedom Baptist Church. Pat was a Beautician for many years, she was also a bus driver for Rockcastle Schools. She enjoyed farming, cooking, and U.K. basketball. She loved spending time with family, and she was a caregiver to everyone she loved.

Those left to mourn her passing are her son: Bobby Chris Mckinney (Janice Perkins) of Corbin. Her grandchild: Tasha Hubbs of Corbin, Great grandchildren; Tyler Hubbs of Corbin, Jonathan Hubbs of Corbin, one sister: Georgia Thomas of OH. A special Nephew: Scott Mays (Becky) of Brodhead, A special niece: Jodi Carpenter (David) of Brodhead. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, friends and family.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Bobby Ray Mckinney. Two brothers; Melvin Mays, Wesley Mays, Two sisters; Lois Callahan, Herschelene Durham. One infant brother and sister.

Visitation service will be Monday, October 28th from 6-9pm at Marvin Owens Chapel. Funeral service will be Tuesday, October 29th starting at 1pm at Marvin Owens Chapel with Bro. Barry Hurst officiating. Burial Will follow in Freedom Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Marvin Owens Funeral home.
