Paul Hamm

Mr. Estel Paul Hamm, age 87, of Brodhead, passed away Monday, Feb. 3, 2020 at the Veteran Medical Center in Lexington, Ky.

He was born on December 14, 1932 in Bandy. Ky., a son of the late William Oscar Hamm and Mollie Ellen Brown Hamm.  He was a Tool and Die Maker, having been employed at Cumberland Tool and Die for fifty years and Lincoln Tool and Die. Paul served his country in the US Air Force, as Airman 1st Class.  He found great pleasure in UK basketball, playing poker, and genealogy.  On March 31, 1956 he was united in marriage to Martha Blevins, and from that union came three daughters: Kathy Lynn, Karen Louise and Kandi Lee. 

Those left to celebrate his life are his wife of 63 years, Martha Blevins Hamm of Brodhead, Ky; his daughters: Kathy Lynn Hamm Dees (Bobby) of Brodhead, Ky; Karen Louise Hamm Coleman (Phillip) of Dacula, Ga.; and Kandi Lee Hylton (George) of Berea, Ky;  His grandchildren: Natalee Eaton, Neisha Cameron, Kristi Lynn Brown, Seth Thomas Taylor, Mahala Caroline Coleman, Garrett Paul Ellis Coleman and Eli Joseph Hylton. His great grandchildren: Hayden Lynelle Powell, Christopher Izaiah Thomas Frederick, Mollie Elynn Taylor, Levi Austin Cameron, Lilly Ann Cameron, and Brooks Thigpin.  His brother: John Wayne Hamm of Waynesville, OH; His sister: Wilma Elizabeth Craig of West Chester, OH. As well as a host of nieces/ nephews, friends and neighbors.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers: Denver Ray, David Kendall and William Theodore Hamm; one sister:  Alma Joyce Hamm Sutton; and a special nephew:  Billy Hamm.

At Paul’s request, cremation rites are being honored.
