Preda (Bishop) Harris

Mrs. Preda Inez Harris, age 88, of Brodhead, departed this life Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at Rockcastle Health and Rehabilitation in Brodhead, KY.

She was born on Feb. 2, 1935 in Brodhead, KY. a daughter of the late John R. Bishhop and Eula Dell Frisbee Bishop.  Preda was a long time member of Brodhead Baptist Church.  She found great joy in spending time with family, shopping, reading her bible and sewing.  She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother.  On August 15, 1953 she was united in marriage to Arthur Harris, Jr. and from that union came Donna, Troy, Johnny, Rick and Terry .

Those left to celebrate her life are her children: Donna Howard (Steve) of Livingston, KY; Troy Harris (Sheryl) of Brodhead, KY; and Johnny Harris (Worth Anne) of Brodhead, KY.  Her ten grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren. Her daughter-in-law: Iola Harris.   Her brothers: Ralph Bishop (Betty)  and Donnie Bishop of Hendersonville, NC. Her sister: Lois Ann Jones (Buck) of Hendersonville, NC. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sons: Rick and Terry Harris.  Brothers: Johnny , Harold Dean, Joe and several Bishop infants.
