Quinton Myrl VanZant 81, passed away Sunday February 18, 2024, at the Hospice of Hamilton Ohio surrounded by his loving family. Quinton was born October 1, 1942, in Poplar Gap, Ky to the late William (Willie)Thomas and Ella Mae (Mink) Van Zant.
Quinton was born at home in a log cabin his grandfather built. He worked the homestead until leaving at 16 to find work in Hamilton, Ohio where he met his loving wife of 60 years. Quinton worked hard his entire life. His faith in God enabled him to overcome the many trials and tribulations of this world. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist church serving as Trustee for 10 years. His final years were spent relaxing with his many pets and enjoying his family.
Quinton was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Oneida Faye Van Zant, Naomi Odessa Allen, Anna Lee Jones and one special grandson Jacob Patrick Lyons.
Quinton leaves many to celebrate his life and continue his love of the Lord, country music, and animals. He is survived by his wife Myrtle (Ballinger) Van Zant, four sons and two daughters. Grandchildren Brian (Molly) Coates, Shane (Brittney) Coates, Joshua (Samantha) Coates, Mark Adam, Kayla, Travis, Aaron, Aleah, Alyssa, Charles (CJ), Alyssa Napier, Cameron Hawley, Zachery Lyons, Kaleb Lyons, and Lucas Lyons. Seven great grandchildren. Three brothers Clinton (Kay) Berea Ky, Roger (Janice) Mt. Vernon Ky, Clarence Wayne (Irene) Orlando, Ky. Brother-in-law Billy Jones, Livingston, Ky.
Psalms 127 says children are a heritage of the Lord and happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them. Quinton was abundantly blessed coming from a large loving family and he was also blessed leaving a large loving legacy of heirs who have lost a piece of their hearts and are looking forward to the day they will be reunited with him in Heaven.
