Richard Cornelius Carrillo

Mr. Richard Cornelius Carrillo, age 77, of Brodhead, KY, passed away at his home on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones.

Richard was born in Brawley, CA, on January 19, 1945, a son of the late Joaquin & Lois (Cornelius) Carrillo. He was united in marriage to Karen Jo Zander on October 15, 1988. He was a member of New Life House of Worship in Crab Orchard, KY. In his free time, he enjoyed wood working, gardening, painting, and doing yardwork.

Those left to celebrate his life are his wife of 34 years: Karen Jo (Zander) Carrillo, of Brodhead, KY; his five children: Meshelle Bowline of OK, Valerie Carrillo of Phoenix, AZ, Brienne Miller of Mt. Vernon, KY, Chelsey McCown of Somerset, KY, and Tobias McCown & Rebecca of Somerset, KY; seven grandchildren: Skyler Carrillo, Gabriella Renner, Ileana Coffey, Elijah Miller, Silas McCown, Hunter Miller, & Hayden McCown; six great-grandchildren: Landon Alexander, Aleigha Hensley, Wyatt Hensley, Adalynn Renner, Laylah Horn, and Nova Renner; two sisters: Yolanda Garcia of Scottsdale, AZ, and Linda Carrillo of Scottsdale, AZ; as well as a host of many nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter Jaclynn Alvidrez, and a grandson Sebastian McCown.

Cremation have been chosen, and arrangements have been entrusted with the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals.
