Mr. Ricky Lane Brummett, age 69, departed this life peacefully on Saturday, April 11th, 2026, at Fort Logan Hospital in Stanford, Ky. Ricky was born the son of the late Francis and Rovena Johnson Brummett on April 4th, 1957. On March 12th, 2004, he married Judy Bishop Brummett and from that union came seven children: Misty, April, Valarie, Veronica, Ricky, Elizabeth, and Joey.
Ricky was a Mechanic and Tow Truck Driver, and he enjoyed working on vehicles, Trading, Painting Cars, running Tow Truck, most of all he enjoyed spending time with friends and family.
Ricky is survived by his wife of 21 years; Judy Brummett, his children; Misty Pennington (Ethan), April Denney, Valarie Coleman (Derrick), Veronica Jones, and Ricky Bishop, twelve grandchildren, his brothers; Gary, Wayne, and Timmy Brummett, his sisters; Karen Wheldon, Jennifer Lewis, and Kathy Widmeyer.
Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his children; Elizabeth Hood, Joey Brummett, his brother; Danny Brummett.
Visitation for Ricky will be Friday, April 17th, 2026, from 12-2pm at Owens Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 2pm with Bro. Chuck Gray officiating. Burial will follow in Negro Creek Cemetery.
