Ricky Lee Evans, age 58, of Mt. Vernon, KY, passed away on Monday, June 27, 2022, at the UK Medical Center in Lexington, KY.

Ricky was born on October 4, 1963, in Indianapolis, IN, a son of the late James Harold & Carolyn Sue (Whitaker) Evans. He was of the Church of Christ faith, and enjoyed listening to music and playing guitar, woodworking, and spending time with his family, especially his grandkids.

Those left to celebrate his life are his wife: Cathy Hodge, of Mt. Vernon, KY; his children: Jessica Hodge & Lloyd Prewitt of Mt. Vernon, KY, Tracey VanHook & Steve of Somerset, KY, Charles Acrey & Lora of Mt. Vernon, KY; his grandchildren: Stormy Jones, River Prewitt, and Hunter VanHook; his cousin: Kristie Rountree of Brodhead, KY; his aunts and uncles: Louise Weather & David of Brodhead, KY, Gary Whitaker & Louetta of Nicholasville, KY, and Larry Whitaker & Mary of Nicholasville, KY; as well as a host of many friends and neighbors. The family would also like to thank their friend: Terry Parsley for all she has done for them.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a cousin, Shannon Vaughn.

Arrangements have been entrusted with the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals, and there are no services scheduled at this time.
