Robyn (Shivel) Mahaffey

OBITUARY NOTICE:

Robyn Lynn Mahaffey, age 51, of Mt Vernon, Ky. departed this life on Thursday, November 20th, 2025, at U.K. Medical Center in Lexington, KY. She was a daughter of the Richard Lynn Shivel and Kathryn Sue Shafer Bingham. On August 17th, 2022, she married Dwayne Mahaffey.

Robyn was born on May 27th, 1974, in Berea, Ky. She was a Christian and a member of Great Commission Church in Berea, Ky. Robyn enjoyed Crafting, Canning, Geo Catching, reading and of course spending time with her grandchildren, family, friends and church members.

Those left to celebrate her life are her parents; Richard Lynn Shivel (Vicki) and Kathryn Sue Shafer Bingham, her husband; Dwayne Mahaffey of Mt Vernon, her children; Dakota Matthew Ray Reopelle (Ariel) of Lawrenceburg, Seth Joseph Rene Reopelle (Elizabeth) Harrodsburg, Lauren Elizabeth Ann Reboulet (Ian) of Lawrenceburg, Bailey Kathryn Bell Reopelle (Carl) of Lawrenceburg, Dylan Thomas Lee Taylor (Olivia) of Berea, her stepchildren; Mercedes (John) Hubbard of Berea, Candace (Halek) Payne of Berea, fathers of her children; Jason Reopelle and Kevin Taylor, her grandchildren; Luna, Stella, and Riverlyn Reopelle, Easton and James Reboulet, and Everett Reopelle, her sisters; Kimberly Combs (Shannon), Kayla Shivel, and Paige Daugherty (Jimmy).

Robyn was preceded in death by Lauren's father, Kevin Skinner.

Robyn chose cremation and there will be a Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, November 29th, 2025, at 2 PM at Great Commission Church with Bro. Achee Eads officiating.

The Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals is honored to serve the family.
