Roger Dean Shaffer

Mr. Roger Dean Shaffer, age 64, of Brodhead, KY passed away Friday, January 7, 2022, at Rockcastle Regional Hospital in Mt. Vernon, KY.

Roger was born September 4, 1957, in Berea, KY to the late Bobby Shafer and the late Willene Woodall Adams. He was a member of Hickory Grover Pentecostal Church, enjoyed fishing, hunting, UK basketball, and spending time with his family.

Those left to celebrate his life are his two daughters:  Britney Day and husband George of London, KY, Ashley Shaffer of London, KY; three grandchildren:  Christian Day and wife Teffany, Kylie Day, and Kameren Day, all of London, KY; two great-grandchildren:  Blake Day and Braelynn Day; two sisters:  Kathy Shafer and DeAnna Adams both of Brodhead, KY; and special friend:  Kelly Ray.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers:  Billy Joe Shafer and Mickey Shaffer.

Visitation for Roger will be held Saturday, January 15, 2022, from 11am until time for the memorial service at 12pm at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals.
