Mrs. Sharon (Johnson) Monk, age 51, of Mt. Vernon, KY, passed away Friday, January 22, 2021 at Ephraim McDowell Medical Center in Danville, KY.

Sharon was born March 9, 1969 in Whitesburg, KY to the late William Bledsoe and Pam (Johnson) Halcomb. She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed cooking and decorating.

Those left to celebrate her life are her husband: Leroy Monk of Mt. Vernon, KY; three sons: Jon Marlow, Matthew Marlow, and Cody Monk all of Mt. Vernon, KY; five grandchildren; two brothers: Danny Johnson of London, KY, William Bledsoe of Whitesburg, KY; one sister: Melinda Powell of London, KY; her mother: Pam Halcomb; and her grandfather: Earnest Johnson and wife Mavis of London, KY.

She was preceded in death by her father and her grandmother: Linda (Jones) Johnson.

Visitation for Sharon will be Tuesday, January 26, 2021 from 5-6pm at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals.
