Shirley Jean Allen

Shirley Jean Allen, age 64 of Livingsston, Ky. departed this life on Friday, October 31. 2025 at Rockcastle Regional Hospital in Mt. Vernon, Ky.

She was born on June 28, 1961 in Livingston, Ky., a daughter of the late Edd Allen and Bertie Foster. She was a child of God, being of the Baptist faith. She found great joy in reading, crafts and spending time with the love of her life, Braydyn Allen, Landyn Smith, Jaxon McFerron and Carson McFerron. She was affectionally known to them as “My Shirley”.

Those left to celebrate her life are her mother: Bertie Foster; siblings, Virginia Allen, Anita Allen, and Delbert Allen. Her nieces/nephews: Jennifer Kirby, Amber Allen, Chris Allen and Dakota (Courtney) McFerron; her great nephews: Braydyn Allen, Landyn Smith, Jaxon and Carson McFerron. She will be greatly missed by all of the ones who loved her.

Besides her father, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ben and Cassie Allen and Arie and Lillie May Foster.

Cremation was chosen with a memorial service to be scheduled at a later date.
