Sudie Thompson

Sudie Thompson, 97, passed away September 18, 2021. Sudie was born September 24, 1923, in Broughtontown, Kentucky to George White and Mary Noe. They preceded her in death. Sudie is also preceded in death by her loving husband Carl W. Thompson and siblings Othmer, Annie, Sally, Matilda, Elsie, Elizabeth, Patricia, Daisy, Mary Jane, Louise, and Lily Mae. 

Sudie was the mother of the Late Gary W. Thompson, Sharon Bass (Dave), Michael D. Thompson (Dottie); Grandmother to Melissa Carter (David), Elizabeth Rigby (Brian), Michael C. Thompson (Mackenzie), and Mary Sue Shinkle (Todd); Great Grandmother to Brevin and Ian Shinkle; Madison, Charlie, Jack, and Griffin Rigby; Ruby, Milo, and Dexter Thompson.

Sudie was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She was truly a remarkable and loving woman who always put others before herself. She lived a true Christian life by showing kindness, love and compassion to everyone she met. Her passions were baking, gardening and caring for her family. She was a gift to her family for almost 98 years. She will be missed by all.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 23, from 5:00 - 7:00 PM with a funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM at E.C. Nurre Funeral Home, 177 W Main St. Amelia, OH 45102. A graveside service will be held Friday, September 24 at 1:00 PM at Fairview Church of Christ Cemetery, Brodhead, KY.
