Sue (Moore) Colwell

Sue (Moore) Colwell, age 70, of Mt. Vernon, KY, passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at Baptist Health Hospital in Richmond, KY.

Sue was born on June 6, 1952, in Stanford, KY, a daughter of the late Fred Vernon Moore, Jr. and Beatrice (Ramsey) Moore. She was a member of Olive Branch Church in Mt. Vernon; and a retiree Dresser Inc. In her free time she enjoyed swimming, going for walks, gardening, and spending time with family and loving on her great and grandchildren which were her life.

Those left to celebrate her life are her daughter: Angela Lee (Travillian) Jones and Donnie, of Mt. Vernon, KY; step-daughter: Linda Cowell of Lexington, KY; granddaughter: Lyndsey Brooke Reed; great-grandchildren Payton and Riley Reed: a sister: Anita Louise Noe & Ronald of Lexington, KY; as well as a host of many nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband: Larry Lee Travillian; her second husband: Charles Colwell; a sister: Shirley Marie (Moore) Lovins; brother Fred V. Moore II: sisters-in-law’s: Anna Lois Carpenter and Jewell Jones; and brother-in-law: Gary Travillian.
