Sue Halcomb

Carolyn “Sue” Halcomb, age 80 of Brodhead, KY.  departed this life on Friday, August 15, 2025, at Rockcastle Regional Hospital.

She was born on August 26, 1944, in Brodhead, Ky.  a daughter of the late Rosemary Bishop Wilson.  Sue was a member of Church of God and attended West Brodhead Church of God.  She found great joy in daily bible reading, working crossword puzzles, and spending time with family.  On June 8, 1968, she was united in marriage to Roy Eugene Halcomb, and they enjoyed 57 years together. 

Those left to celebrate her life are her husband, Roy Eugene Halcomb of Brodhead, Ky; her daughter: Tena Halcomb Daugherty (Raymond) of Mt. Vernon, Ky.  Brother: Kenneth Stevens (Mary Lynn) of Louisville, Ky; As well as a host of friends and neighbors.

Visitation for Sue Halcomb will be Tuesday, August 19th, 2025, from 11am-2pm at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals.  Funeral services will follow at 2PM with Bro. Terry Orcutt officiating.  Burial will follow in Piney Grove Cemetery.
