Teresa Gail Cunagin

Teresa Gail Cunagin, age 58, of Mt Vernon, Kentucky, passed away September 19th, 2024, at Compassionate Care Center in Richmond, Kentucky.

She was born on June 17th, 1966, in Cincinnati OH, a daughter of the late Wiley Cunagin and Elva Lena (Payne) Marcum. Teresa was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially the grandkids. She also enjoyed reading and listening to music. Teresa was employed at Exela for 11 years as a data clerk, also previously employed as an order processer/machine operator for Lighthouse/American Greetings formally Gibson Greeting in Berea for 26 years.

Those left to celebrate her life are her Children; Stephanie and Steven Mayse of Irvine, Kelsie and Alicia Bradley of Flat Gap. Her Grandchildren; Ryan Bradley, Taylor Bradley. Her brothers; Michael and Sharon Cunagin of Brodhead, Charles and Teresa Cunagin of Mt Vernon, Larry and Greta Tompkins of Pine Hill, Derek and Melissa Tompkins of London, Garrett and Sherry Tompkins of Brodhead, Danny (Dino) and Chastity Marcum of Cincinnati, OH. Sisters; Connie and Raymond Mayo of Deltona, FL, Sharon and Richard Weiss of Richmond, Ky, Leona and Chris Martin, Julie and Josh Bowman of Oakville, IL. In addition to her children and grandchildren she was also survived by her soul mate: Archie Townsend.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Marvin Cunagin, Steven Tompkins, Merle Marcum, and Roger Cunagin. One nephew: Joshua Spurlock and two Nieces; Tanya Barons and Amberly Northern.  

Visitation for Teresa will be Tuesday, September 24th, from 11-1pm at Marvin Owens Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 1pm with Bro. B.J. Bradley officiating. Burial will follow in Old Freedom Cemetery.

Casket bearers; Michael Cunagin, Charles Cunagin, Larry Tompkins, Garrett Tompkins, Danny (Dino) Marcum, and Derek Tompkins. Honorary casket bearers; Steven Mayse, Richard Weiss, Christopher (Chad) Cunagin.
