Mr. William Terrell “Terry” Chandler, Jr., age 82 of Brodhead, KY passed away Sunday, March 7, 2021 at his residence.
Terry was born November 27, 1938 in Brodhead, KY to the late William Terrell and Mabel (Lear) Chandler Sr. He was a 1957 graduate of Brodhead High School where he played basketball and was a member of Future Farmers of America. He received his bachelor’s degree in 1960 from Campbellsville College. Terry was retired from the State of Kentucky, working as a business administrator at Oakwood, Lake Cumberland Mental Health, and DDM in Memphis, TN. He was of the Southern Baptist Faith; enjoyed fishing and hunting; was an avid Rook player; enjoyed watching classic western-themed TV shows and movies; loved traveling with his children and grandchildren; and was a college basketball fan.
Those left to celebrate his life are his two sons: Dr. William Terrell “Happy” Chandler III of Brandenburg, KY, Joseph Cooper Chandler of Louisville, KY; and two grandchildren: Kayla Noel Chandler of Allen, KY, and Linden Cooper Chandler of Pensacola, FL.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife: Ruthann Borich.
Visitation for Terry Chandler will be Saturday, March 13, 2021 from 10am until time for the funeral service at 3pm at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals with Happy Chandler officiating. Burial will follow in the Piney Grove Cemetery.
