The Collinsworths

Tonya and Michael Collinsworth of Copper Creek departed this life on Wednesday March 29, 2023.

Tonya and Michael were united in marriage on Sept. 11, 1999, and from that union came two sons: Jacob and Caleb.  They shared 23 yrs. together.

Tonya was born on March 31, 1977, to Mike Callahan and the late Cora Chasteen Callahan. She was employed by Cumberland Valley Home Health for 23 yrs. She was a loving and devoted mother, wife, sister and a caregiver to many.

Michael was born on March 9, 1976, a son of Diedre Collinsworth Norton and the late Lee Norton.  He was an employee of Northern Southern Railroad for 17 years. He was a loving father, husband, and son who dearly loved his family.

Those left to celebrate their lives are their sons: Jacob Michael Collinsworth and Caleb William Collinsworth.  Tonya’s Father: Mike Callahan of Copper Creek, Ky; her sister and best friend, Michelle Hall and husband Stacy; and her beloved niece Ava Grace Hall of Copper Creek, Ky.   Michael’s Mother: Deidre Collinsworth  Norton of Mt. Vernon, Ky. His sister: Koula Verda Knox and husband Christopher.  His brother: Anthony Cummins and wife Jessi.  As well as a host of aunts/uncles, cousins, nieces/nephews, friends and neighbors also survive.

Tonya was preceded in death by her mother, Cora Callahan. Michael was preceded in death by his stepfather, Lee Norton, and grandparents, Willard and Aline Collinsworth.

Visitation for Tonya and Michael will be Monday, April 3, 2023, from 5-9PM at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funeral

 Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at 1PM at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals with Bros. Randal Adams, Joe Spivey and Ralph Chasteen officiating, with burial following in the Cartersville Cemetery.
