Timothy Joseph Young, 61, a life-long resident of Mount Vernon Kentucky passed peacefully from this life on August 13, 2025. Tim was born July 6, 1964, to his parents, Joseph Young and the late Iris Stevens Young.
Those left to celebrate his life are his wife, Stella Delisle Young who was the love of his life, his Son, Brandon Young (Bethany) of Lexington, KY and his Daughter Alexis Young (Brooke) of Delaware, OH. He was blessed with a grandson, Bennett. He is survived by a sister and his father, Donna Young and Joseph Young of Mount Vernon, a brother-in-law, George Delisle (Tina) of Portageville, sisters-in-law, Rita Ross (Ed) of Boston, MA and Rene Crumley of Cedar Rapids, IA and a host of nieces and nephews and other family. He is preceded in death by his in-laws Joseph and Mary Alice Delisle.
Tim was a member of the Our Lady of Mount Vernon Catholic Church. He attended Samford University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. He served as a board member for both the Elmwood Cemetery and American Pharmacy Services Corporation, as well as on the Board for his favorite golf course Cedar Rapids. He professionally was a pharmacist for a large majority of Rockcastle County, first with Young’s Pharmacy with his father Joe and later served the community through the Rockcastle Regional Outpatient Pharmacy.
Tim had a gift for friendship, building cherished relationships through his many passions. He found community on the golf course, cheering on UK sports teams, at the horse races, and in the kitchen or the patio, where he loved to cook. His laughter was infectious, and he brought joy everywhere he went.
He treasured making memories with loved ones, whether it was on family trips to Hilton Head, golfing at Cedar Rapids, visiting Groundhog with his closest friends, or fishing with his dad. His newest joy was becoming a Papaw and spending time with his grandson, Bennett. Nothing could make his face light up more than Bennett running to him with excitement.
