Tony Wendell Lane

Mr. Tony Wendell Lane, age 68, of Crab Orchard, KY, passed away Sunday, February 28, 2021 at Fort Logan Hospital in Stanford, KY.

Tony was born May 17, 1952 in Dillon County South Carolina to the late Samuel and Josephine (Coward) Lane.  He was a Project Manager for Pipe Fitters and was a member of NCCER Pipe Fitters. Tony was a member of Pine Hill Holiness Church, enjoyed fishing, old cars, car shows, grandkids, and working in his yard and garden.

Those left to celebrate his life are his wife:  Kathy; his daughter:  Dawn Collins and husband Kenneth of Brodhead, KY; two step-daughters:  Katina Dudley and husband Jack of Dillon, SC, Crystal Hunt and husband Travis of Fairmont, NC; ten grandchildren:  Blain Collins, Keith Lane, Jamie Lane, Austin Collins, Jessica Kirby, Brianna Dudley, Wendell Lane, Charlie Jo Lane, Desmond Hunt, Shane Dudley; two great-grandchildren: Chandler Lane, Makena Collins; and one sister: Tammy Jones and husband James of Dillon, SC.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife:  Betty Sue Lane; two sons:  Tony Keith Lane, Tommie Wendell Lane; and siblings: Billy Wayne Lane, Sandra Herring, Gloria Green, Sammy Lane, and Deborah Strickler.

Services for Tony Wendell Lane will be held at Cooper Funeral Home in Dillon, SC. Visitation will be Friday, March 5, 2021 from 6-9pm. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 6, 2021 at 2pm with Kenneth Collins and Richie Hicks officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Dillon, SC. Casket bearers will be Blaine Collins, Keith Lane, Jamie Lane, Austin Collins, Dwayne Odom, and KC Odom. Honorary casket bearer is Charles Odom.
