Troy Benge

Mr. Troy Benge age 54 of Brodhead, KY, husband of Alecia, passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at the Rockcastle Regional Hospital in Mt. Vernon, KY.

Troy was born May 6, 1966 in Berea, KY to the late James C. “Jerry” Benge and Jewell (Brock) Benge. He married Alecia Lynn Mason on May 2, 1998. In high school, Troy was an officer in the local and regional FFA chapters. He served in the United States Air Force as a Presidential Honor Guard. He was an electrician, a member of Crossroads Assembly of God, a collector of die-cast tractors, and loved his Lord and his family.

Those left to celebrate his life are his wife: Alecia Lynn Benge; his mother: Jewell (Brock) Benge; two step-children:  Jon Mobley and wife Michelle of Copper Creek, KY, Aaron Mobley and wife Kelly of Copper Creek, KY;  grandchildren:  Caylie Mobley, Maddison Mobley, Trevor Mobley and wife Judeah, Weston Mobley; one great-grandchild:  Sawyer Mobley; two brothers:  Johnny Benge and wife Louise of Ottawa, KY, James Tracy Benge of Stanford, KY; two nieces: Denise Watson, Josie Adams and husband Jake; two nephews: Braxton Watson, Billy Ray Graves II; great nieces:  Bailey Adams, Ellyannah Watson; and uncle:  Orbin “Sarge” Brock.

He was preceded in death by his father: James C. “Jerry” Benge; niece Suzanne Graves, and nephew-in-law: Bruce Watson.

Visitation for Troy Benge will be Monday, March 8, 2021 from 12pm until time for the funeral service at 3pm at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals with Bro. Steve VanHook officiating. Interment service will be Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at 2:30pm at the Camp Nelson National Cemetery in Nicholasville, KY. Casket bearers are Chester Day, Larry Napier, John Mobley, Jimmy Brumett, Jerry Denney, Frankie Martin, and Anthony Asher. Honorary casket bearers are Johnny Benge, Tracy Benge, Sarge Brock, Tim Saylor, JD Dillingham, Billy Jo Brown, and Tim Saylor.
