Violet "June" Burton

Violet J (June) Burton, 89, passed away 10/10/2024. She was born in Somerset Kentucky to the late Dallas and Emma (Goff) Carter. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years James L (Lloyd) Burton, 4 Brother-in-laws, Floyd Raines, Carl Burton, Ronnie Burton, and Jearl Cromer, 2 Sister-in-laws, Berniece Cromer, and Ruth Owens. She is survived by her 3 children Doug (Cathy) Burton, Jim (Rae Lynn) Burton, and Paula (Jeff) Middendorf, 8 Grandchildren, Matt (Becky) and Nicholas Burton, Michaeline Bailey, Brandy(Shannon) Grubb, Ashley (Dewayne) Stanifer, Chelsey (Adam) Pettyjohn, Emmalee Middendorf (Parker), and Maggie Burton (AJ), 10 Great grandchildren, Elizabeth Burton, Logan Grubb(Danielle), Alexis Grubb(Thomas), and Kody Grubb (Emily) , Owen, Oliver, and Sydney Stanifer, Trevor and Harper Pettyjohn, and Elliot Phillips, 2 great-great-grandchildren, Cayden Grubb and Riverlynn Hill, 1 Sister, Edie Raines, and 1 Sister-in-law, Billie Burton. She was a member of the Loveland Heights Church of Christ and a faithful Christian. We take comfort knowing she is resting in the arms of Jesus. She loved her family and greatly enjoyed her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all those that knew and loved her. Visitation will be held at Hodapp Funeral Home Rt. 42, West Chester, Ohio on Tuesday, October 15th from 5 – 7pm. Funeral will be directly after visitation at 7pm. Wednesday there will be a short visitation at the Fairview Church of Christ in Brodhead, Kentucky from 11am-12pm and a graveside ceremony following at the Fairview Cemetery.
