Virgil F. Lefler Jr.

Mr. Virgil F. Lefler Jr.  age 77 of Mount Vernon passed away February 15, 2025, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

Virgil was born July 5, 1947, in Lawrenceburg, KY to the late Virgil Sr. and Sally Akins Lefler. He was a member of the NRA and enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his grandchildren, family and friends.

Those left to celebrate his life are his children; Frankie Lefler (Sarah) of Brodhead, Kimberly Benton of Frankfort, KY and Rebekah Deatherage (John Roark) of Georgetown, KY. Eight Grandchildren; Dalton, Dylan, Jacob, Justin, JT, Brooklynn, Nicholas and Makensie. Five great grandchildren. One brother, Douglas Lefler of Versailles, KY; two sisters Brenda McMurry of Lexington, KY and Jean Wright (Sherman) of Georgetown, KY.

Besides his parents Virgil is preceded in death by former spouse Vanie Estep, one child Robin Estep and one brother David Lefler.

Services for Mr. Lefler will be Monday February 24, 2025, with visitation starting at 11 AM till time of the funeral at 12. Bro. John Burton officiating. Burial will follow in the Jones Cemetery in Allen, KY.
