Virginia Kaye (Doan) Harper

Virginia Kaye Harper, age 56, of Mt Vernon, Ky, departed this life on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington, Ky.

Jenny was born on November 23, 1968, in Mt. Vernon, Ky., a daughter of the late Jesse Monroe and Elizabeth Lorene Kirby Doan. On April 18th, 1995, she married Paul Harper and from that union came three children, Timothy, Kayla, and Jeffrey. She was a member of Unbridled Church of Mt Vernon, and she loved taking care of her grandchildren and spending time with friends and family.

Those left to celebrate her life are her husband: Paul Harper of Mt Vernon, KY, her children; Timothy Albright (Brooke) of Richmond, Kayla Todd (Jeff) of Brodhead, Jeffrey Lear Nicole) of Mt Vernon, her grandchildren; Brayden, Brailyn, Eliza, Hayden, Riley, Jaxon, Ella, Avery, Kye, and Graylyn, her brothers; Dale Doan (Tina) of Mt Vernon, Brian Doan of Somerset, her sisters; Janice Poynter (Chris) of Brodhead, Brenda Cameron (Jeff) of Jackson Co, Judy Cameron (Carlos) of Jackson Co, as well as a host of nieces/nephews, friends and neighbors.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation for Jenny will be Tuesday, May 27th, 2025, from 6-9pm at Owens Chapel. Funeral services will be Wednesday May 28th, starting at 1pm at Owens Chapel with Bro. Shane Gabbard officiating. Burial will follow in the Tom Stevens Cemetery.
