Virginia Scheid Obituary

Mrs. Virginia Lee Mylin Scheid, age 84 of Mount Vernon, KY, passed away on Thursday, July 15, 2021, with her family by her side.

Virginia was born April 24, 1937, in Lancaster, PA, a daughter of the late John C. Mylin III, and Pauline Penny Mylin. She married Michael Gregory Scheid on December 14, 1957, and they enjoyed 63 years together. She was a member of the New Hope Reformed Church. Throughout her life, she took part in many ministries, including teaching Sunday School, directing choirs, playing the organ and piano.

Those left to celebrate her life are her husband Michael Gregory Scheid; her children, Pamela Jo Young and Ralph of Tennessee, Debra Lee Dull and Daniel, and Lori Ellen Caldwell and Eugene both of Mount, Vernon, KY; her 11 grandchildren: Ralph Gregory Young, Jeremy Michael Young, Virginia Lynn Croyle, Daniel Luke Dull, Nathaniel Wayne Dull, Abigail Lee Barnett, Elizabeth Hope Dull, Benjamin Eugene Caldwell, Aaron Thomas Caldwell, Matthew Caleb Caldwell, and Rebecca Lorell Caldwell; and 21 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents John C. Mylin III, and Pauline Penny Mylin.

A private family gathering has been planned for Mrs. Virginia.
