Willard Harrison

Willard Harrison, age 88, departed this life on Friday, May 15th, 2026.

He was born July 29th, 1937, in Brodhead, Ky. A son of the late Arthur and Ollie (Smothers) Harrison. He was a man of faith. Willard found joy in the simple pleasures, often spending time talking and loafing at the truck stop. Willard had knack for tinkering with motors, always eager to get his hands on a project and figure out how things worked.

He is survived by his children; Willadean Harrison Short (JL Short) of Milton, IN. Brian Doherty of Florida and Debra Harrison Doherty Romeo (Mark) of New York, Grandchildren; Shawn Short (Danielle). Great grandchildren; Lanie Short, Hazel Short, Halyn Short, Jay Short, Four brothers; Melvin Harrison and Ervin Harrison of Brodhead, Ky, Norman Harrison and Ronnie Harrison of Ohio. Two sisters; Ruby Lee Wilson of Richmond, IN, and Lorene Jones of Loveland, Ohio, and host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two grandchildren; Danielle Lee Short and Tiesa Amber Short. Two sisters; Dorothy Stevens and infant Mary Ruth Harrison. Three brothers; Arthur Harrison Jr.,Hobert Harrison, and Everett Harrison.

Visitation will be on Thursday, May 21st, 2026, from 10am- 2pm at Owens Chapel. A graveside service will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery with Pastor Ronnie McClure officiating.
