William "Dewayne" Croucher

Mr. William Dewayne Croucher, age 59, of Mt. Vernon, KY, passed away Thursday, April 18th, 2025, at U.K. Chandler Medical Center in Lexington, KY.

He was born on December 30th, 1965, to the late William and Susie Johnson Croucher. On October 8th, 1994, he married Bridget Alcorn Croucher.

Dewayne worked as a carpet installer, and he was of the Baptist faith. He was a member of Rockcastle Co. Coon Club and enjoyed Coon hunting, fishing, and spending time with his beloved grandchildren. Dewayne will be greatly missed by all that knew him. 

Those left to celebrate his life are his wife: Bridget Croucher, his children: James “Jay” Croucher and Janafer Denson of Mt Vernon, Chris Croucher (Christy) of Mt. Vernon, Erica Croucher and Jacob Barnes of Brodhead, Nick Schwartz and Amanda of Beattyville, Dustin Grant (Felicia) of IN., Brandon “Bubba” Anglin of Berea, KY., his grandchildren; Jadyn, David Lee, and Gavin Croucher, Kenna Barnes, Hunter, Ricky, and Donald Denson, his brothers; Joey Croucher (Tiffany) of Garrad Co, Michael Croucher, his sisters; Brenda Bowling, Linda Thomas.

He was preceded in death by his parents: William and Susie Johnson Croucher.

Visitation for Dewayne will be Tuesday, April 22nd, 2025, from 6-9pm at Owens Chapel. Funeral service will be Wednesday, April 23rd, at 1 pm at Owens Chapel with Bros. Phillip Doan and Kris Isaacs officiating. Burial will follow at Scaffold Cane Cemetery.
