Willis Bussell Obituary

Mr. Willis Joe Bussell, Sr. age 75, husband of Joan, of Brodhead, KY, passed away November 8th, 2018 at the Rockcastle Regional Hospital in Mt. Vernon, KY.

Willis was born August 22, 1943, in Brodhead, KY; to the late Grover Coffey and the late Martha Messer Bussell. He proudly served his country as a Staff Sargent in the US Army for 25 years. He was a post master of the Masonic Lodge #566 in Brodhead. He was of the Baptist faith, enjoyed antique cars, and was a member of the KY Colonel Organization. He was united in marriage to his second wife, Joan Deaton Bussell on February 4, 2003.

He is survived by ; his children: Willis Joe Bussell, Jr. and Teresa of Brodhead, KY, Markita Proctor and Barry Brodhead, KY, Spencer Scott Bussell and Andrea of Glaskow, KY, Danny Crowe and Cheri of Williamsburg, OH, Gary Crowe and Lisa of New Richmond, OH, and Shelley Smalley and Daniel of Hillsboro, OH; his 9 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and an uncle: Jack Bussell of  Brodhead, KY; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Joyce Marie Bullock Bussell; 2 great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Connie Honchell, and Brenda Bullock.

Visitation Services for Willis Joe Bussell, Sr. will be Saturday, November 10, 2018  from 6-9 pm, Funeral services will be Sunday, November 11, 2018 at 1pm, at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals with Bro. Willis J. Bussell Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at the Piney Grove Cemetery.
