Clara Edith Alcorn, age 67, of Mount Vernon, KY passed away on Wednesday, July 13th, 2016 at the Ephraim Mcdowell Fort Logan Hospital, in Stanford, KY.
Clara was born on April 13th, 1949 in Mt. Vernon, KY a daughter of the late Freddie Lando Cromer and Elsie B. McFerron Cromer, both whom preceded her in death. Her interest included reading her Bible, crochet, listening to Gospel music, going to church, spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and family. Clara was a member of the Chestnut Ridge Church of Christ.
Clara Alcorn is survived by five children: Billy Ray (Katie Lynn) Alcorn of Mt. Vernon, KY; Clara (Bobby) Renner of Mt. Vernon, KY; Cathaleen Alcorn (Tim) of London, KY; Micheal Alcorn of Mt. Vernon, KY and Judy Lynn Alcorn of Brodhead, KY. Eleven grandchildren: Savannah Renner, Matthew Renner, Robyn Lovell, Ricky Lovell, Joseph Scott Alcorn, Charles Brock , Jr., Brandon Preston Alcorn, Scott VanWinkle, Anthony Alcorn, Charles Alcorn and Nathan Alcorn. Ten great-grandchildren: Brooke Renner, Callie McFerron, Cadence McFerron, Carley Ray Renner, Gage Alcorn, Zaylin Alcorn, Elena Alcorn, Addison Alcorn, Jaylon Alcorn and William Lovell. One sister: Etta Chaney (Steve) of Mt. Vernon, KY; Two brothers: Bobby Cromer of Mt. Vernon, KY and Denver (June) Cromer of Mt. Vernon, KY and a host of nieces, nephews, neighbors, and friends.
Besides her parents, Freddie Lando Cromer and Elsie B. Mc Ferron Cromer she is preceded in death by one sister: Rosie Mink .
Visitation for Clara Edith Alcorn will be on Friday, July 15th, 2016 at 6 P.M. at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals.
Funeral services for Clara Edith Alcorn will be on Saturday, July 16th, 2016 at 2P.M. at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals Chapel, Burial will follow in the High Dry Cemetery.
