I recently made a trip to Kentucky and was fortunate to see my uncle Everett for a few hours. He was in good spirits at the time and it was nice to see him and his family. I will always remember him as a man with a positive outlook on life, no matter what he was doing. I will especially remember coming to stay with him and Agnes when I was 18 years old for a time, up at Ashers Fork in Clay County. I wasn't much help harvesting the sugar cane to make molasses that season, but I believe as I grew older, it was one of the events in my life that taught me the value of hard work. I will never forget it.
I'd like to express my sincerest condolences to my Aunt Agnes, and my cousins: Wayne, Wilbur, Charlotte, Barbara and Pearl for their loss as well as all the grandchildren. All my love to you all!
