Jimbo was my father's (Billy Ray Cummins) first cousin. Geography kept my sister, Laura, and I from knowing the Cummins family of Rockcastle Co., KY as well as we would liked when we were growing up, but Jimbo made every visit to Aunt Nell's in Crab Orchard a special event. He made time to play with all of the visiting kids. Jimbo was never without a cool car or truck and he tirelessly gave us rides down roads our parents would never dream of driving on! There is an old saying that generally people will forget everything you said or did, but they will never, never, ever forget the way you made them feel. He would make time for you and make you feel like you were important. Jimbo gave me many heart warming memories that I'll carry with me as long as I live. James Dee Cummins was one of the good guys. He was a Cummins.

I grew up with Jimbo around. He was like a big brother to us. He always was smiling and had time to hug and talk with us. I loved his "hot" cars and those Gladstone cigars he smoked. The Cummins family has and is dear to my heart. They were always there for us when we were growing up. GREAT memories.
