Lois has been my neighbor here at mine and my wife's first home together since we bought it about 7 years ago and she was a very sweet person and you couldn't ask for a better neighbor. She truly was one of the nicest people I have known and she will be greatly missed. I wish I would have known this day was going to come so soon, I would have made it a point to spend a lot more time with her. I know she is not sick anymore and she is running and jumping through the streets of heaven as I type this though and she's thinking don't be sad for me. It makes you feel selfish to still want her back here with us knowing all of the wonderful things she is seeing and all of the loved ones she is being reunited with right now but you still can't help but want such an amazing person to still be here on earth with us. Love you and miss you already Louis! Until we meet again.

Although Jane never attempted or intended to take my mother’s place, it was hard to accept someone else in the role of my father’s wife…. at first.
This is probably human nature but after a while, those thoughts diminished and I was able to see how selfish I had been with that thinking.
Soon, I was very thankful that God had brought Jane into my father’s life. The kind and gentle spirit that was Lois Jane Bastin was obviously a big positive in my dad’s life.
There is no doubt in my mind that the 12 years they shared were happy ones.
When Jane came on the scene, Dad was very unhappy. He was depressed and grieving and probably wasn’t going to last very long. He desperately needed companionship.
We need more Janes in the world to soften such grief and replace it with happiness.
I send this note in deepest sympathy to all who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace.
