Tommy A Mullins

Mr. Thomas A.  Mullins, age 61 of Mt. Vernon, Kentucky passed away Monday, September 28, 2015.

He was born on April 22, 1954 in Sand Springs, Ky, a son of the late Robert Junior Mullins and Oma Virginia Hayes Mullins.  He attended New Hope Full Gospel Church.  Locally, he will be remembered as a well-known Butcher; He managed the Lake Linville Boat Dock and Restaurant for several years.  Scholastically he will be remembered for playing with East/West All Star Basketball team; and Brodhead Class of 1972, Sweet 16 Tournament Team.  Tommy found great joy in all types of hunting, fishing, farming and his cattle and enjoyed his children and grandchildren.

Those left to celebrate his life are his children: Robin (Steve) Rumsey of Mt. Vernon, Ky; Megan Cromer of Mt. Vernon, Ky; Noland Broaddus of Mt. Vernon. Ky. and Robert Thomas Mullins of Mt. Vernon, Ky.  His grandchildren: Blaine, Reagan and Brodie Rumsey of Mt. Vernon, Ky; his brother: Trent (Sherry) Mullins of Mt. Juliet, Tenn.; his sisters: Sandra (Donald) Bullock of Brodhead, Ky; Gail Johnson of Hermitage, Tenn. and Teresa Mullins of Brodhead, Ky; as well as a host of nieces/nephews, friends and neighbors.

Visitation for Tommy will be held on Friday, October 2, 2015 from 6-9PM and Sat. Oct. 3, 2015 from 10AM-12Noon   at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals.

Funeral services for Tommy will be conducted on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at 12Noon at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals Chapel with Bro. Buford Parkerson and Bro. Toby Mullins officiating, burial will follow in the Skaggs Creek Cemetery.
