Mrs. Elva B. Arthur Cable, age 78, of Somerset, Kentucky, departed this life Wednesday, August 12, 2015.
She was born on January 15, 1939, a daughter of the late Harland Bumcomb Arthur and Alma Burdine Arthur. She was a member of the Baptist faith, who had been a Caregiver; taking care of others was what she loved doing. She found great joy in flowers, yard sales, her grandchildren and great grandchildren, but most of all she will remembered for the love she had for her family. On Dec. 5, 1955 she was joined in matrimony to Troy Cable, who passed away Dec. 7, 2006, after 51 years of marriage.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children: Roger L. (Penny) Cable of Metamora, In.; Ronnie Lee Cable of Cincinnati, OH.; Rick (Connie) of Somerset KY.; Ray (Carolyn) of Somerset KY.; Robby (Brenda) Cable of Somerset KY.; Randy (Stephanie) Cable of Somerset, KY.; Robin Michelle Dykes of Somerset, KY; fifteen grandchildren: Damion Troy Cable, Destiny Marie Everett, John Cable, Misty Cable, Jeremy Nathan Cable, Natasha Delle Hewitt, Christopher Cable, Nicholas Cable, Kristy Cable, Brooke Cable, Mandy Cable, Kellie Gayle Cable, Jessica Lynn Cable, Austin and Lindsey Dykes; seventeen great grandchildren; one sister: Betty Parks of Corbin KY.; two brothers: Bernard Arthur of Nancy, KY. and Kenny Arthur of Somerset KY. As well as a host of nieces/nephews friends and neighbors.
Besides her parents: Harland Buncomb Arthur and Alma Burdine Arthur, she was preceded in death by her husband: Troy Cable; one sister: Bernice Foley; three brothers: James and Johnny Arthur and Chuck Poynter.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 14, 2015 from 6-9 PM at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 11AM at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals with Bro. Ferlin Price officiating. Burial will follow in the Cable Cemetery. Casket Bearers will be her sons.
