We have great memories of Bennie growing up with him in Big Stone Gap, VA, and we will be praying for his family. The Sanders family was dear to us, and we spent so much time together at school, in church, and at community events. Bennie will be remembered for his easygoing, caring spirit.

To the Sanders family, we extend our deepest regrets and sympathy. We last saw Bennie a couple of months ago when we stopped by his home and we talked about going fishing. Bennie and the Sanders family have always held a special place in my heart. Just as his blue 59 Impala brought him joy, and all who grew up with him remember this. We also remember the joy he brought to all of our lives. Rest in peace and joy.

My deepest sympathy to Bennie and the entire Sanders family. As a youngster along with "Doc"Holiday and my cousin D.Q., he made a significant impact on me when I was a youngster. We will miss him.🙏

On behalf of the Knoxville College football team of the middle 1960's we salute our team leader who kept things disciplined, serious and many times, comical with his capturing smile and maturity. We lost contact after graduation, but we hold on to the great memories of the past.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.
